UPDATE!

Yo Dudes (and lassies)!

Its been ages I know, sorry! Been super busy with a new job (yes, I have a new job) and life and stuff. I now also write on here, check it out, it’s about fashion and etc’s.

Went to see The History of apple Pie the other day, which was amazing! Gutted for all of you who weren’t there because it was awesome! The band that played before were awesome as well their called..  I don’t actually know what they’re called because I couldn’t get their info anywhere (not because I was drunk… I mean I even checked the Facebook page, but because it didn’t have any details on there) but let’s just call them The Band for now. Well, they were great anyway.

Right, so here are a few bands I’m listening to at the moment:

Grass House - They’re dark, folky and kind of Nick Cavie

Slow Magic – Quite electro and very chilled. I’m loving it!

Star Slinger – This guy has got some very wicked mixes, here’s one I love in particular.

Lana Del Rey –  She’s been said to be a bit of a puppy doll of the industry but I like her. I like the fact that she’s got an old school-sounding voice that she mixes with 90′s pop lyrics.

There you have it folk’s. That my update for now.

Insomnia

I’ve got some exciting stuff going on tomorrow so therefore I’m a bit nervous and can’t sleep. Not really super exciting info to fill your heads with at 2:30 o’clock in the morning but I just thought I’d let you all know.

Velociraptor

Allo!

I was listening to Kasabian\’s new album ‘Velociraptor’ over the weekend and thought I’d throw some words out there about it.

First impression was good, I mean it’s Kasabian we’re talking about and I’ve always liked them, and they are quite cool and Sergio is really fit…

However I think that because of their success of their previous album \’West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum\’ they got bit big-headed, where they in an interview with Q Magazine for example were saying they were gonna take over the world and stuff, therefore I think they got stuck on the sound of that album, get me? It feels like they tried so hard to get it to sound so uber cool and funky that they somehow got stuck in the same pattern and forgotten to press on with something new and innovative, I.e. they’ve not evolved as much as I thought they were gonna seeing all the fuss they made before the release. I don’t really know if I’m making any sense here to be honest but I certainly hope so…

Anyway, the album is good but maybe not as good as I would have hoped it to be, but what do I know, maybe I just need a few more listening sessions in order to get my head round it.

Sunday Bloody Sunday

After enjoyed a very peculiar weekend with events that I’ll tell you about later it now will now be rounded off with a hearty Germany inspired meal, ie sausage hotpot with satzle (tastes a little bit like pasta for those of you who’s wondering) on the side. Here’s want it looked like:

Insidious

I watched insidious yesterday and it was pretty scary I tell ya! I had to close my eyes a couple of times in order to prevent myself from shitting my pants. Definitely recommend it to those of you who’s in to horror movies. I’m a massive fan myself so this stuff is right up my alley. Here’s the plot of it taken from IMDB:

‘A gripping story of a family in search of help for their son, Dalton, who fell into a mysterious coma on one ordinary morning.
