So I actually managed to pull the bread baking event off! Aaaah people I’m so proud of myself!
Here’s a pic of the finished product!
You can find the recipe here, I added crushed dry rosemary, one big clove of garlic and pitted and chopped green olives to the dough to make it more fragrant and tasty.
Aaah the sweet success!
So I love food and anyone that would’ve ever slightly gotten to know me ever in my life would probably agree with that as well. I love cooking all kinds of food, but preferably more complicated spend-all-day-in-the-kitchen kind of dishes, and of corse seafood, which I’m a little obsessed about. I’m quite contempt with my cooking skills as they usually come out pretty damn tasty in the end, but the one thing I’ve struggled with all my life is baking, and when I say baking I mean any kind of baking; I always fail, unless it’s a pre-mixed thing of corse… But today I’ve decided to fight my flaws and attempt a somewhat of a mediterranean loaf of bread, god fucking help me! I just put the dough to rest for an hour so we’ll see what happens after that but until then here’s a pic
If all goes well I’ll hook you up with the recipe but if not then please disregard this whole thing as I will be hidden in my room of shame and disgust.
Just wanna tell you about these guys before I head off quickly. They are called Gross Magic and I’ve been listening to them for the past few days. I heard about them a while ago but haven’t taken my time to actually listen to them untill now, but its a yes from me. Here’s a video as well…
So today would have been the late Amy Whinehouse’s birthday. Her death is a massive loss to the music industry. Amy was a living legend that, as many other musicians like herself, had a huge chip on her shoulder that consequently lead to addiction and later fatal self-destruction. I had the privilege of meeting Amy in person a couple of times and we had a few friends in common so therefore I think her death is a little closer to my heart than other famous musicians… So this is just to show my appreciation and respect to her family and friends on a day of remembrance.
On another happier note I’d like to add that it’s also my friend Tristan’s birthday today. He is the lead singer of a band called The First Fleet. Here’s video of the band playing at Brick Lane earlier this year.
The band have come a long way since that video was recorded and sound a lot better now than what the video gives away so please bear that in mind before making any drastic judgments of this. Enough of that, I’m now off to do some shite in the flat before i shoot off to angel for celebrations.
I had an excellent time catching up with some old friends last night and everything was super hunky dory till I got thrown out of some douche’s flat for being too loud. I mean cooooooome ooooooon, how old are you?! Anyway… Here’s some pics from the fun bit.
Here’s just a quick apology for my spelling. See the thing is that I most of the time blog from me wee iPhone and the bloody predictable text sometimes writes stuff that I usually don’t notice until later, which consequently makes me look like a spaz (excuse my language…). So there you go….there’s my apology folks! Although I am dyslexic so words do come out a bit wrong sometimes, just bare with me alright?!
I watched Ponyo the other day and was once again reminded that I hate Manga. No hang on, I don’t necessary hate manga, let’s just say I dislike it. I dislike it for the simple reasons that the characters always look so bloody winey, the colors of the animations are always so pale as well and I like bold colors when it comes to animations, and their mouths are always so small. I mean what’s that all about? Plus Pony, the main character brought the tsunami with him just to find his mate right, now that’s not fair is it now. Evil little guy. So there you go I do not like manga.
Went Roller Discoing Saturday with some mates. It was hilarious and I think so much more fun than just getting stupidly pissed in some expensive bar all night. It was funny because the more drunk people got the more pro- skaterie-like they all thought they got, thats obviously including myself; come 12 o’clock I was like Tony Hawk on a pare of old school roller skates in short shorts with a sparkly silver wig twist thrown in the mix. I was in great form, let’s just put it like that… Here’s some pics for ya!
